The Info Product Model – Not Worth The Cost

A new website script,

The Info Product Model

has been produced by the developers of BANS, the once powerful, now dated and abandoned niche website script. Adam and Kelvin, the producers of BANS, have been trying in vain to repeat their BANS success and have come out with some, IMHO, pretty worthless junk in the form of guides and other such bullshit. Now, they have produced another waste of money by offering a script of dubious worth…

The Info Product Model.

Their biggest downfall in losing any possible sales for The Info product Model? They tried using the huge mailing list they acquired from the BANS script sales. Over 10,000 names they would spam with a new offer, but got few results. 10,000 pissed off members don’t sell your products if you abandoned them previously. This is not to say a couple of bloggers who deal in niche website creation won’t push this new product. Some people will tout anything and everything to earn a commission.

The reason? When BANS sales started to slow, Adam and Kelvin had made a quick buck and stopped updating it, leaving it to the forum members to do it. They also stopped providing support, also leaving it to the forum members. Those same members eventually turned to better and more profitable means of making money. BANS was dying and the developers brought it upon themselves by ignoring those who made them a small fortune.

Now, they have appeared again with this “new” script and instructions, The Info Product Model.

There is absolutely nothing “new” about it. In fact, for the sale price of $94.95 for The Info Product Model they should be ashamed of themselves for trying to sell a pig disguised as a prize hunting dog.

They base their Info Product Model script around ClickBank products. “Information” products in the form of eBooks you create and then sell, using their “easy” script as a “funnel” to your sales. They give two examples of sites they created. One is a “Poker Learning” sales page and the other deals with “The Art of Fighting.” They then go on to tell you how many people search for information about these types of products and how you can make mounds of money when you sell your product.

What they don’t tell you is the multitude of people already selling similar information and likely better than anything you could provide. Keep in mind Clickbank also offers purchasers a 60 day money back guarantee with no questions asked. If your product isn’t up to snuff, any sales you do make will be refunded, if requested.

The Info Product Model will gladly tell you how to create a product to sell and how to place it with Clickbank. Oh boy! They’re selling you the same Clickbank information that can be found at Clickbank.com for free.

Since we’re talking about Clickbank, let’s talk cost. To make a decent product you will need a PDF program so that your eBook can be downloaded. Figure about $100 for a good, dependable one.

Clickbank also charges $50 to list your product with them and is reviewed to ensure you don’t have a bunch of affiliate links in it (so forget about making any extra money by inserting Adsense or other non-related affiliate links as part of your document).

Now, you are in the hole for around $250 before you’ve made a sale, which may never come. You will also need a domain name and hostserver if this is your first Internet venture (at least $10/month). So, you can see The Info Product Model isn’t a simple $95 investment.

Speaking of sales, if you think your Info Product Model website is going to generate a ton of sales, quit dreaming. Everyone who has a Clickbank product depends on other websites to promote for them. This is done by offering a commission. If you don’t offer at least 50% of the sales price then you won’t find any promoters. So, if you sell your eBook for $25 and offer a 50% commission, you will give $12.50 to those who make sales for you. Clickbank also expects a percentage on each sale. When all is said and done expect to see less than $10 when someone else sells it and only about $22 if you sell it directly.

Need a website script to sell it? The Info Product Model includes a website script you can use, but the fact is you can get better if you use WordPress. WordPress themes are free and you can create a better sales page using WP, with more SEO power and options, than you’ll get by using The Info Product Model script.

Also, consider writing your eBook. Do you have the skills? Be honest. If you can’t spell, use punctuation correctly, or form an understandable sentence to convey the instructions you are trying to pass along to buyers, do you think they will keep your product? They will ask for – and get – a refund.

You also don’t need their script if you plan on promoting someone else’s eBook, either. Doing that is so simple I hesitate to mention it. Simply write a review of the product, get an affiliate link from Clickbank and place it on your website, or elsewhere it will be seen on the Internet.

Creating an information product is NOT easy and expecting $95 to tell you how easy it is doesn’t exactly say “scam” because the information they provide will tell you the steps for getting it done, but it does reek of “spam.” Info Product Model is useless and unworthy crap you have to avoid.

If you really think you are an expert and can write an eBook, use a WordPress sales page theme for your product and visit Clickbank to find out what you need to do in order to get it listed with them.

Save yourself $95 in buying something that shouldn’t sell for more than $19.95. The Info Product Model is a waste of money for anyone intelligent enough to realize it, but if you want to judge for yourself, CLICK HERE.
