REQUIREMENTS
Whether you have a brick and mortar business that you plan to place on the Internet, or you are just looking to create an income from home, the main requirement is time. In the beginning you will be spending most of it doing the preliminary work of tweaking your website’s appearance, adding content, performing SEO, and getting approved by advertisers, and the other mundane necessities that pay dividends in the future.
This means that if you are working two jobs and have family responsibilities, or other commitments, it will take significantly longer to achieve your goals. However, if you are recently unemployed, or have a mate providing income which allows you to dedicate the necessary time, you have a great opportunity to use that time to create extra income.
If you have a business and want us to create your website, know that you will be spending time updating sales promotions and other items associated with your business. Though we will set up your business website it will be necessary for you to maintain any changes that need to be made, with regard to its content.
A CAPABLE COMPUTER:
Though it is obvious to have a computer, what may not be obvious is that it should have a minimum of 512Mb of Ram and at least a 40Gb hard drive. Too many people attempt to create a website with an under-powered computer, which leads to problems in running programs and storing information. A laptop with WiFi (wireless) capability should be at the top of your Christmas list. There will be times when having a laptop will be useful when traveling for extended periods, or those times when you are away from home and have need to access your website.
HIGH SPEED INTERNET CONNECTION
When I say high-speed, I am talking about cable, satellite, or DSL. Many believe a dial-up connection is sufficient to operate correctly for Internet Marketing, but it lacks the speed necessary. Check with your service provider to ensure you can transfer information at a speed above 512K.
The problem with telephone types of Internet connections is that they are extremely slow in transmitting information. They are slow when downloading files and even slower when uploading files to a server (uploading is always slower). They also have intermittent disconnects which results in having to start over again. It isn’t worth the frustration of working with these types of Internet connections.
