Is PPC method of advertising is a reliable method?

A question submitted by a member…

I have been running an internet business, and I have always relied on SEO to generate traffic to my site. But I have not made much money, using this method. Recently I read an article about using PPC, and adwords, instead ( http://www.internationalnichemarketing.com ). The article talked about a research tool, which would help identify the perfect niche for PPC targeted advertising. Can anybody tell me if this method is reliable?

PPC Adwords? It can work, but be careful in setting it up. Pay per click, specifically adwords, can work wonders for your website traffic if the correct keywords arew targeted resulting in sales. Do not overspend for a keyword choice and set a PPC budget.

However, you have to know where to start. You can’t plop down a huge budget and expect massive earnings. That’s the fast lane to going broke. For your campaign to be successful, you have to choose good terms and know what prices to pay for your clicks. And it is important to have something on the backend, otherwise you’re paying for traffic that will just walk away and leave you poor.

The key to PPC, and any other traffic method for that matter, is testing. You have to test different campaigns, word use, keywords, and landing pages. If you don’t see results from an adwords campaign within a week or two, then you may want to change the parameters of the campaign (keywords, phrasing, landing page, etc.)

If you don’t know what to do, turn to one of the many great tools out there; most of which can help you properly set up your adwords campaigns.

One reliable tool is Micro Niche Finder, which this website recommends.
